The Command/EMS Responder vehicle is new to the department and will help to keep the mileage down on the fire apparatus and allow command to quickly respond to fires and assess need for more equipment, manpower, and other departments.  This vehicle also allows us to respond to medical emergencies and leaving our fire apparatus free for other calls.  This vehicle carries and airway bag, cardiac monitor with SAED capabilities, ALS medications and cardiac medications.  Also carries backboards, splinting, and multiple radios for interoperability.  The department would like to extend many thanks to the Lubbock County Sheriff's Department for giving us this vehicle.
